Week 14 Picture Post

This one is the most massive yet. You've been warned.

This PSA is cropping up all over the city of Foshan and I just don't get it

Some of my little kids

We officially crossed into Macau!

Classy hotel room

Senado Square at night

First sight of some casinos

The street our hotel was on

Perfect example of Portuguese and Chinese meld

Egg tarts! Most delicious things ever

Laura wouldn't stop eating them!

Senado square in the day time

The street signs were in Portuguese, Chinese, and English

Our favorite little cafe. Real coffee!

We found a magic show

This building was the first western-style clinic in Asia. Built in

Inside the first of many (many many) churches

Another cathedral.

Laura and I followed the rules

A small temple near the ruins of St. Paul.

These spiral incense candles were so cool!

Note the interesting bat characters on the wall

Approaching the ruins

View of the city and some casinos from the ruins

Look at the side of the ruins! No church!

Up in the fort

Riggy Jason Butts was here

People posing funny is my favorite subject for photography

In the fort

The fort has been turned into a museum

The casino wars of 2044 were dark and bloody

View of the city from the top of the fort. You can see the Macau tower in the background.

Inside the fort

"Inside" the ruins of St. Paul. These glass boxes mark off where the crypts were originally.

Back of the ruined facade

Underneathe the cathedral was a small museum where they housed artifacts that were discovered in the ruins

Buzz and Woody!

Ancient city wall marking the end of what was the city a few thousand years ago

Another temple

Clash of history: The ancient city wall, the Na Tcha Temple, and the St. Paul ruins all within a few yards of each other.

Ancient fortune telling stones

This is Na Tcha, whose temple we visited. He was sort of like a kung fu Jesus

These gardens belonged to a Portuguese business man, who then later sold them to the British East India Company. They are now owned by a Chinese preservation society.

Near the above gardens was a protestant cemetery and one of the only protestant churches on the island.

This was a mansion that belonged to a Chinese businessman in the 1850s

The mansion had wifi, so I skyped with Tom and Anthony Gallo from inside

Another temple!

Inside the Robert Ho Tung Library. Some guy's house who, when he died, he had his home and garden converted into a library.

This theater was the first western style theater in Asia. It seats 300 and it has been in operation since it's opening in the early 1800s.

There was a piano tuner inside while we were there.

We got kicked out of this church for wearing pants that were too short (aka shorts)

This cafe had an iron man and nobody knows why

These barracks were originally built for a regiment of Indian Moors in the 1700s. The building is now owned by the Maritime Authority of Macau. Note the indian style windows.

The A MA temple. Another location featured on an episode of the Amazing Race

The Macau Tower again

Look everyone drives on the wrong side!

Shipyards

The governor's house

Casinos at night

Inside the Wynn. Wayyyy too fancy

The cool globe room in the Wynn with the Zodiac on the ceiling

The lobby of the Wynn has a live jellyfish aquarium in it!

Laura and I with our Zodiac sign

The swimming pool at the Wynn

MGM Macau

They had an underwater themed restaurant area

The Venetian Macau: The World's Largest Casino

Inside the Venetian

They had a Manchester United store. Weird

LAURA IS SO HAPPY

Inside the mall in the Venetian. Just like Venice probably

This chocolate cost 150 Hat Hips and 30 M'ladies!

Found the only Victoria Secret in China

Another casino: The Galaxy

Goodbye to Macau. Leaving our hotel.

The Macau Palace is a floating casino that shut down a few years ago. It is considered one of the most iconic casinos ever. It was featured in the James Bond movie "The Man With the Golden Gun", I have a feeling they're going to do something with it soon because apparently it disappeared for a while, but I found it docked in its old spot on our way back to the mainland.

The city gate. See ya Macau!

This woman was huffing gum on the bus ride home. IDK.

We decorated our apartment for Halloween!
